The special theme contest for this year's show is "2001: A Quilt Odyssey"

What has your quilt-making journey been like? Has it taken you special places, changed your life, or brought you special memories? When you look back at your earlier quilts, are you amazed at where you were then and where you are now?

Quilt entries may be any size and use any technique. To qualify for the theme contest, the entrant must also submit a 4 X 6 photograph of her/his first or early quilt along with a brief statement of the entrant's quilt odyssey. The photograph and statement should be submitted with the registration form for your entry.

Your photograph and statement will be displayed by your current quilt but only after judging is complete.

One or both of your entries may be designated for theme contest consideration. A special award will be given for the theme quilt with the highest score.

As always, your quilts do not have to be theme-related to be entered in NYQuilts!

Hope to see YOUR quilts at NYQuilts!

Special Quilts at NYQuilts!

Antique quilts, quilts by Diane Rode Schneck, our 2001 Featured NY Quilter. Other invitational quilts and challenges as well! Special for this year, a display of quilts by the NYQuilts! Committee members -- we're quilters too.

In addition to the wonderful quilts entered by quilters everywhere, you're sure to see a wonderful selection of quilts - some you've seen in magazines, some you've heard about - See them at NYQuilts!

  Thanks

to Stewarts for supporting NYQuilts! this year and providing the "Make Your Own Sundaes " for Show and Tell participants.

Thanks too!

To all the wonderful folks who give their time and energy before during and after the show. Without them, NYQuilts! wouldn't be possible! Want to give us a hand this year? See page 7 for details.
