I traced the mirror image view onto the paper side of Wonder Under, an iron on fusible interfacing. I roughly cut it to shape, positioned it on my fabric and fused it with a hot iron.

Since the paper side is still attached with my drawing I can trim off the non-fern areas.

This photo shows the fusible stuff with the drawing flipped over the already trimmed area.
