The center of the top is ready to start sewing. As pinned as it can be. I hope to start tomorrow or the next day. I used another project today to sort of "practice" my free hand applique ideas and that made me feel more ready to take the first stitches. Those first ones are always the hardest!I've sort of sketched out another smaller winter scene and have considered two possibilities for a background of the autumn scene. One choice would be gradated, horizontal strips, interrupted occasionally by vertical trees. Another choice would be small squares in gradated colors, or similar to colors used in the october quilt tops. So I'm still pondering.
