| "Silenced Youth/Blinded Youth" was created in reaction to the school shootings that took place in Paducah, Kentucky; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and others. The piece deals with what these and other acts of violence have in common: they silence a voice. By turning a deaf ear to the problem of child abuse, we are continuing to silence those among us who are least able to speak out, children. | ||||
