Sticks And Stones May Break My Bones But Words Can Also Hurt Me

Detail

Not all crippling injuries of childhood are physical...the constant barrage of negative words can destroy a child's self confidence and leave them unable to cope with being an adult.

The child tries to hide but there is no escape from the emotion packed words. They whip the child leaving long scars. The chaotic quilting could be the swirling emotions of love and hate, the winds of change as we try to recognize the situation, an attempt to fence out the world, or maybe the start of a rainbow with its promise that there is hope.
