FINISH THAT QUILT and show the world at NYQuilts! – you might win one of our four cash awards. Our quilt show theme this year is - “2001 - A Quilt Odyssey.”

SIGN UP FOR A CLASS or two, and plan on coming to hear the FREE LECTURES. Make a block for our block challenge contest! One local guild is doing the block challenge for a block of the month idea prior to the show.

Our Featured New York Quilter, DIANE SCHNECK from NYC, will be speaking about her quilts on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (probably around 3 pm). This is free to show attendees and registrants. Diane’s quilts have been exhibited internationally and seen in many magazines and books. She has taught locally in NYC, at New England Images and the International Quilt Festival in Houston.

Diane’s current quilts use images of American Diner icons - coffee cups, classic diner food and neon signs. Check out her her web site: http://www.geocities.com/quiltdiner/

Saturday evening at 7:30 we'll be having FREE Show and Tell at Kellas Lounge. This will be followed by FREE "make your own sundaes" provided by Stewarts! So bring your quilts and your love of ice cream!

We're often asked "why do I have to pay a quilt registration fee?" This fee helps us pay for the insurance covering your quilt, as well as the judging, ribbons and related costs. For entering quilts, quilt registrants receive passes for two to the Friday night opening preview and admission for one to the show on either Saturday or Sunday.

This year NYQuilts! is offering four cash prizes for top winning quilts! See the registration form for complete information.

Quilters who register for classes also receive admission to the preview on Friday night, admission to the show on both Saturday and Sunday and the NYQuilts! tote bag.

Volunteers are important to us - please send us a note or use the form in the show brochure. We need your help with all phases of the quilt show from set up to take down. There are jobs to suit everyone. Volunteers working two hours receive our current show pin; those working more hours receive chances to win a half day class at NYQuilts! in the year 2002. You can also get dibs on your favorite quilt show jobs online using the form at our site.

Come to NYQuilts! May 19th-20th for great quilts, vendors, and more.
