Yes, I have UFO's

 

It was a nice surprise finding this top. This is a traditional block with many names. I've worked with solid color fabrics and in an Amish-style a long time in my quilting life. This quilt still does it for me although it has some technical problems in construction and a couple booboos in color placement. While I was looking at it today I thought perhaps this pattern needs more exploring.

I think some of the secondary patterns are evident in this photo, caused by offsetting the blocks by half a block in each row. The one that stands out more in person than in the photo is this wiggly horizontal path between the rows of stars. I like that a lot.

If you notice in the background of these pages, a single block is used and it forms a circular pattern around it as well as a four leaf clover sort of thing. That's cool too. (Click here to see a blank page of this block)

I really like this a lot, and I think it bears more playing with.
