Yes, I have UFO's

Sorry, I did NOT make these hexagons into GFG! These were found, assembled, in a box of things which belonged to my now-deceased neighbor Laura Wheeler. I don't know if Mrs. Wheeler made them or if someone gave them to her. Either is likely. There were also a LOT of hexagons in various places. There were also TONS of yo-yo's assembled into 4 X 4 blocks. But that's a different story.

I felt an urge to see this finished, at least a little more than it was, so I purchased (probably in a store where no one knew me) several different reproduction 30's fabrics. This larger pink print "won" when I got them home. The fabrics of the GFG may or may not be 30's prints, but they show a different style from many GFG of that day regardless.

How did I do this? I laid the border strips of fabric underneat the GFG section and carefully machine appliqued the GFG to the border. Then I carefully sewed the joints of the border together. And there it sits. I would like to quilt this someday. It's not that big. I was thinking of doing concentric circles in each unit....
