Several things about this class stand out to me in memory. First, we had to come with so many pre-cut squares and we traded. It's easy for me to look at this and know which fabrics were mine -- they're the more dramatic colors and all the yellows. There were too many people in the class for us all to put up our design walls inside the class, so I ended up in the hallway. Ann was quite pleased when she came out to see how we were doing. Her main comment was that some of the squares might not be right for the design, meaning that some of my values were apparently misplaced and she was right.
The other big thing I remember is that I had a fairly large section of this done in class and sewn together because I sat at the end of the day and did chain sewing until it was all sewn together one way. This totally blew away a few people in class who had never seen such a thing before.
