| This small basket quilt, appliqued handles and hand quilted, came from a time when I made a bunch of very small, almost mini quilts in order to try out some patterns and get rid of the need to make some patterns that were in my head. I did quite a few of these in a short period of time. I like the hand quilting on this a lot. It has a circle with a half circle inside it, suggesting another basket shape in the plain blocks. In the leafy fabric border there is a simple curvy vine, no leaves. I like the way the red berries of the leafy print is picked up by the solid border. |
