I have been working on the borders for a few days now, and picked out a light purple solid for the flat piping that will separate the center from the pieced border. The plan right now is for there to be another bit of piping on the outer edge of the border as well. As I work with it, it feels a little too floppy, so I think I will do a line of stitching a bit out from the seamline of the piping, perhaps in a contrasting color.

OK - I'm pretty excited by how it's shaping up - hope you like it too!

This is the rows of small blocks that make up the borders, laid over the center portion of the quilt. A night or so ago, before I started sewing them on.
