Tonight I completed the first big area of quilting in the center, at the top. Quite pleased with how it came out too!

Let the background quilting begin! I finished all the shadows today and only diddled around a bit before starting the background. What a difference some thread makes.

No I didn't fall off the earth!

I am still slowly quilting the winter scene. But my main interruptions have been a) job interview on Monday and b) trip to the Impressions exhibit at the Clark Institute

All I can say about the latter is WOW. Really filled my head with ideas about shapes and colors and getting what you SEE out of your medium, no matter what it takes.
