Not a lot to take pictures of, but the quilting is coming along slowly. Right now I'm quilting through (and appliquing simulataneously) the shadows. When they're all sewn down I'll go back and quilt the white snowy areas.

Meanwhile, I'm pondering what to quilt in the pieced border. Luckily it will be awhile til I get there.

Q: What's big and mostly white and in need of a lot of quilting?

A: This quilt of COURSE!

The quilting is DONE on the second October quilt! YEAH! Despite the heat....

Yesterday was hot. Today was miserable.

Nonetheless I did get into the final border of the second October quilt. Perhaps more importantly I have a tentative title for it. Ablaze.

Tonight I stuck my head outside the house around 8 pm to catch whatever breath of air there might be, give the front garden a little water and just try to get cooler. I leant my head back and saw the most beautiful pink cloud. So I ran upstairs and out on the back porch, where I took some wonderful photos of the sky.

It was very hot here in Brainard. Did a little A/C hopping this afternoon (visited a new local library and the grocery store) but got in some quilting tonight.
