I was hoping for a bright clear day so I could take a bunch of pictures of trees and their shadows. What we got instead was a snowy day that was just warm enough that the snow alternated between snow, rain, slush and fog. It made the snow stick to the trees which always looks nice though. So I headed out and took some turns on impulse and took some new photos.On a site note -- I put up a page with a list of all the January photo days. Click January in the left hand frame.

Today after breakfast (ok, more like lunch) I drove up Rt 66 towards East Nassau proper. I waded through the snow, thinking I should keep my taller boots in the car from now on. But anyway, the creek was what I was there to see. I'll go up in a day or so and take pictures of the creek nearer the post office in East Nassau.Posted at 5:18 PM
